Town of Caledon Climate Change Action Plan

Climate change is real, and its impacts are already being felt here in Caledon. From increasing intense storm events that result in flooding to more extreme heat days in the summer, we know Caledon’s weather will become hotter, wetter and wilder in the coming years.

The Town is updating its existing Community Climate Change Action Plan, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare Caledon for the impacts of a changing climate.

This will be a community plan and we want to hear from residents, farmers, businesses, community groups and youth on how we can address climate change, and ensure Caledon continues to be a great place to live.

DIY Climate WorkshopDry ground and healthy trees

Are you interested in hosting your own climate workshop? We’ve developed a DIY toolkit to help community members host their own climate conversations with family members, neighbours, co-workers, community groups, and other organizations.

The workshop is designed for groups of up to 20 people and takes about 45 min to 1 hour to complete. Be sure to record the discussion and send the worksheets back to us to incorporate into the plan.

This tool kit includes materials that will help you prepare for, and deliver your Climate Workshop.
