The Coalition for the West Credit River is dedicated to environmental protection, conservation, and restoration. We are working to raise awareness of this unique West Credit River watershed so that present and future generations of children, residents, and visitors may continue to experience pristine nature in close proximity to the Greater Toronto Area.
Outreach & Education:
Beyond regulatory advocacy, the Coalition for the West Credit River is deeply committed to education and stewardship. We deliver presentations and outdoor excursions to local schools, educating and connecting students with Brook Trout and their fragile coldwater habitat.
Coalition members participate in numerous local outreach and education events that engage communities in support of our goal of a healthy West Credit River ecosystem. We provide information on the Credit River headwaters, increasing awareness of the need to protect this watershed and its at-risk Brook Trout population.
