Speaker: Adam Shoalts – Author and Adventurer – “Canada’s Indiana Jones”
Adam Shoalts is a professional adventurer, also known as Canada’s Indiana Jones. His expeditions have included a nearly 4,000 km canoe journey across Canada’s Arctic – alone. He is the author of the #1 national best seller Alone Against the North and the award winning A History of Canada in 10 Maps, also a national bestseller. His brand new book, Beyond the Trees: A Journey Alone Across Canada’s Arctic will be released October 1 by Penguin Random House. He is Explorer-in-Residence with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and in 2016 was named a National Champion of the Trans-Canada Trail. He is a regular guest on Canadian television and radio and has a PhD in History from McMaster University.
Adam’s new book is, Beyond the Trees, and will be available for purchase /signing at the event.
