What is Your Opinion of the Future of Our Environment?

The environment is a key discussion items for our local and regional government.  Please take a few minutes and make sure they know how you feel about the environment and how their decisions will affect life in Belfountain and environs.

The Online Public Information Centre for the Town of Erin Urban Centre Water Servicing Class Environmental Assessment is https://www.erin.ca/town-hall/corporate-initiatives/waterea   Interested persons are able to provide written comment on the project to the project team on or before March 31, 2020.

The Town of Caledon is creating a new Official Plan – a road map for the next 20+ years.   https://future.caledon.ca/   The Town of Caledon is  looking for community input in five areas: Growth, Settlement, Housing and EmploymentTransportation, Technology and InfrastructureTourism, Heritage, Healthy Communities and CultureNatural Resources and Agriculture; and, Climate Change .

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has gathered perspectives from industry, municipalities, members of the public, Indigenous communities and other stakeholders for making changes to the way in which extraction of aggregate resources is regulated in Ontario.  Amendments to the Aggregate Resources Act were made on December 10, 2019, as part of Bill 132, the Better for People, Smarter for Business Act.  To build on those changes, they are consulting on proposed regulatory changes and are looking for your feedback. https://ero.ontario.ca/notice/019-1303   before March 30, 2020

The province is asking questions about the work of conservation authorities in an online survey. The deadline for your comments is March 13, 2020.
