Over the past several months, the West Caledon Communities Aggregate Group, of which the B.C.O. is a member, has diligently worked on a presentation for the Region of Peel Planning and Growth Management Committee regarding the impact of aggregate operations on our water. This PowerPoint review will present a compelling case for more robust Official Plan policies to deal with future quarry applications. A stronger, more environmentally sensitive Peel Official Plan could be a game changer for all future Aggregate applications.
This online presentation is scheduled for October 7th between 10am and 1pm before the Region of Peel Planning and Growth Committee. The meeting will be live streamed on http://www.peelregion.ca/ A copy of the agenda can be found here .
The members of the committee are: G.Carlson, P. Fortini, N. Iannicca, J. Innis, L. Kiernan, M. Medeiros, C. Parrish (Chair), R. Starr, A. Thompson (Vice-Chair), and P. Vicente
